Welcome to the Brighton Pack 343 Website!
In Pack 343, Cub Scouting means “doing.” Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things.
Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting: citizenship awareness, character development, and personal fitness. The activities happen in the individual Dens — Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos — and also within our Pack. The scouts meet with boys in their own grade in weekly den meetings and with all of the other dens in the monthly Pack meetings. Brighton Pack 343 currently has over fifty boys participating in the fun, excitement and learning that Cub Scouting provides.
But equally as important as the Cub Scout activities are the Cub Scout Values: the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute. The boys learn about Cub Scouting’s strong traditions and statements of values. These are all meant to teach good citizenship and contribute to the boys’ sense of belonging and common purpose.

I, (name), promise to do my best To do my duty to God and my country, To help other people, and To obey the Law of the Pack. |
The Cub Scout follows Akela. The Cub Scout helps the pack go. The pack helps the Cub Scout grow. The Cub Scout gives goodwill. |

We kicked off our first “Show ‘n Sell” on Sunday, September 18, at Kroger in Brighton. It was a success!! We sold $689.00 in popcorn and collected just over $100 in donations. Special thanks to the scouts who participated:
Pack 343 held a very successful Fall Round-up on Thursday, September 15th at Spencer Elementary. We had a great kickoff with at least 7 new Tigers signing up.
Well, we’re coming down to the wire with our 2011 Popcorn Sale Fundraiser. Our Popcorn Kernel, Tammy Musto, tells me that we’re about half way to our goal but she says that many Scouts haven’t yet turned in their sales results so we should see the total climb toward our goal.
We’re looking for boys from all grades and their families who want to learn more about the fun, adventure and friendship of Cub Scouting.
